Welcome Back, John Hersey High School Community.  

I hope the first Hersey Homefront message for the 2024-2025 school year finds you well, and that you've had a safe, enjoyable, and rejuvenating summer break.  As we prepare to embark on a new school year, I want to express my excitement and optimism for the wonderful opportunities and experiences that await.    

First, a quick shoutout to the Class of 2025.  This is your final year at JHHS, and likely one of the more pivotal moments in your life.  Make the most of every opportunity that comes your way, create lasting memories, and leave a positive impression on the school culture.  Your leadership, spirit, and dedication sets the tone for the entire student body, so embrace this moment, and make your Senior year the best year yet.  

One of the most important ingredients to a successful school year is to ensure that our students feel connected, inspired, and motivated to be active participants in their own educational journey  Whether that's through academics, athletics, fine and performing arts, or extracurricular activities, there are boundless opportunities for you to make meaningful connections.  By engaging with your peers, teachers, and the broader school community, you will not only enhance your personal growth but contribute significantly to your overall academic trajectory.  

And finally, let's remember that Huskies Run As One. Our strength lies in our unity and our commitment to supporting one another. Although it's somewhat cliche to say, we really are better together, and together, we can create a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where every student finds success.
