Students at Prospect High School are required to take four years of English in order to meet Illinois state requirements for graduation. The course sequence includes Written and Oral Communication, Freshmen year. Next, students take World Literature and Composition Sophomore year. During Junior year they can take American Literature and Composition or Advanced Placement Language/Advanced Placement Literature. Finally, their Senior year, students can take a plethora of elective courses within the disciplines of literature and composition as well as speech.
In addition to our core curriculum, students may also sign up for electives in Yearbook, our Multimedia suite, and various levels of Acting. Prospect High School offers a wealth of course offerings for all students as they learn, grow, and thrive while attaining strong academic skill sets.
