District 214 Launches New Strategic Plan at First-Ever State of the District Luncheon
High School District 214 will host its first State of the District Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, bringing together community members, business leaders and partners to celebrate accomplishments and outline the future.
Superintendent Dr. Scott Rowe will highlight the past year, introduce the district’s new five-year strategic plan and share priorities for 2025–26, focusing on instructional excellence, student opportunities, community connection and innovation.
“This luncheon is an opportunity for us to celebrate our successes, be transparent about the work ahead and invite our community to join us in shaping the future,” Rowe said. “We have a shared responsibility to prepare every student for what comes next.”
Recognized as a Blue Ribbon High School District by the U.S. Department of Education, District 214 serves nearly 300,000 residents in eight northwest suburban communities. The district includes six comprehensive high schools, one specialized school with unique programs, and a wide range of academic, athletic, arts and lifelong learning opportunities.
Board of Education President Alva Kreutzer said the event reflects the district’s strength. “Our community has always been an incredible source of support for our schools,” Kreutzer said. “The launch of this strategic plan is a chance to channel that support into a bold, clear vision for the next five years.”
The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road. Tickets are $20, with space limited. RSVP at https://gofan.co/event/3997280?schoolId=IL71930
