Share Your Feedback on the Future of District 214 Facilities
-
District 214 Community,
This week, we launched a community-wide phone survey to help guide the next steps in our facility improvement planning. As part of our long-term vision outlined in our strategic plan to create premier facilities for our students and staff, we know that it begins with renewing our buildings and addressing critical infrastructure needs. A recent independent assessment showed that many of our schools require major updates to ensure they remain safe, accessible, and equipped for modern learning.
Through this process, we are inviting our community to help shape a responsible plan for how we care for and modernize our schools. Your feedback will help us prioritize projects, understand community perspectives, and plan for the future.
If you receive a call from (224) 526-9581, please take a few minutes to share your thoughts. Responses are only counted when the full survey is completed. You can also call (224) 526-9581 anytime through Monday, October 20, to participate at your convenience.
You can learn more here on our website, where we’ve shared an overview of facility needs across the district and examples of potential improvements in classrooms, safety and accessibility, science and arts areas, and athletic spaces. Feel free to review the community engagement presentation and complete the feedback form in English, Polish, Spanish, Ukrainian or Russian, which is available through Monday, November 3.
We also invite you to join us at one of our upcoming opportunities to learn more about our facilities planning. We will host virtual sessions on October 27 at 6:30 p.m. and November 3 at 12:00 p.m. In addition, we will hold an in-person session at the Rolling Meadows High School theater on November 3 at 6:30 p.m.
You can find details and registration links for the virtual sessions on our website here.
Our schools have served generations of students well, but many are showing their age. Your input will help us make informed decisions about how to invest in our facilities and strengthen the learning environments that help define District 214.
Thank you for your time and continued support of District 214.
Sincerely,
Scott Rowe, Ed.D.
Superintendent
