Transfer Student Information
-
Students must register at the District 214 school within the boundaries of their residence. Verifying residency annually helps us to protect district taxpayers by ensuring that resources are spent only on students who live within the D214 community.
As part of the registration process, parents/guardians of transfer students must make an appointment with the Student Services department at their school. The appointment will include pre-registration and residency verification.
Please bring your student's original birth certificate as well as the documentation listed below:
Category A (at least ONE of the following documents):
- Most recent mortgage bill/statement
- Most recent real estate tax bill
- Closing statement for the purchase of a residence
- Deed/closing document for real estate
- Signed apartment lease for my residence from the owner/lessee
AND
Category B (at least TWO of the following items):
- Driver’s license with current address
- Current utility bill (gas, water, electric or cable)
- Public Aid card
- Voter registration card
- Automobile registration - State of Illinois
- Receipt for city vehicle sticker
OR
Category C (if NONE of the items in Categories A or B are applicable, you will need to contact the main office at your school).
An Original Birth Certificate, Passport, or Visa is required to be presented.
District 214 uses an Online Registration and Fee Payment Process. Once residency verification is complete, you will be able to complete your register at home or at any location where you have Internet access. Online Registration will begin June 2. More information regarding the registration process will be sent at a later date.
Students attending Alternative Schools or Programs Outside the District must register and pay at their respective home school. It is imperative that all students, regardless of where they attend school, register at their home school. Timely registration is imperative to ensure all services, including transportation, are arranged in a timely manner.
