The Hersey Fabrication Program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to work successfully in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. Students will gain experience working with various materials on a variety of machines including mills, lathes, and welders.

Fabrication Technology 1
This course focuses on the basic skills needed for manual machining and fabrication. Students will work on mills and lathes, work with sheet metal, and learn how to weld flat joints using gas metal arc welding (GMAW). This class serves as an introduction to the various processes.

Fabrication Technology 2
This course builds off of the skills learned in Fabrication 1 and introduces students to Computer Numerical Controls as well as more advanced manual machining projects. This course also introduces GTAW and SMAW welding processes as well as vertical and overhead joints.
