Registration Information

  • In order to maximize efficiency and response time, registration for Summer Experience 2024 will be staggered between March 4 and April 1, 2024. The registration fee is waived for academic courses during Early Bird registration between March 15 and April 15, 2024.

    REGISTRATION TIMING


    * Each school has an equal number of Driver Education seats for students in each section. A school’s registration date has no impact on the number of seats that are available to students from that school.
    ** Enrichment Registration ends on May 17, 2024

    Students who are registered or plan to be registered with the NCAA should consult with their counselor before registering for specific Credit Recovery courses.

    Registration can be done online via a computer, tablet or phone. If registering online, a credit card must be used to make payment. This is a secure site and all student and credit card information is encrypted and secure. 

    You will need the following information in order to register online:

    • Student’s District ID Number  
    • Date of Birth  
    • Student’s School 
    • Household Zip Code

    If you are unable to register online or wish to pay by cash or check, you may register in person at your student’s school Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

    Students approved for fee/meal waivers for the 2023-2024 school year will have course fees waived, with the exception of the registration fee, unless registering during the Early Bird period.  Students approved for reduced fees/meals for the 2023-2024 school year will not have fees waived, unless registering during the Early Bird period when the $20 registration fee is waived. During the Early Bird registration period, March 15 - April 15, 2024, the $20 registration fee will be waived for all academic courses.

    Families can still apply for the 2023-2024 District 214 Fee or Meal waiver. Please visit the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to apply online.

    Students may register for ONE (1) in-person course per three-week semester and ONE (1) six-week online course.

    Important registration system tips:

    • For academic questions: please call your student’s counselor.
    • For technical help with online registration: please call the D214 Help Desk at 847-718-7676.
    • Be prepared when registering. Once a course is in the shopping cart, payment must be completed within 10 minutes to secure the seat. Failure to do so will release the seat for other purchasers.
    • One login per student. A second simultaneous attempt to log in for a single student is not allowed.

    COURSE SELECTION

    When a student or parent logs into the registration system, recommended courses will be shown first, followed by the full summer course listing.  Recommended courses include those for which students received a failing grade in the first semester or the third quarter of the 2023-2024 school year or selective enrollment courses for which the student has received an invitation.

    When counselor approval is required
    When a student registers for a credit recovery course, the system will check to verify that the student has previously taken and failed the course. If the course is not found on the student’s transcript as a failed course, the system will pause and present a message indicating that approval must be granted by the student’s counselor. The student selects the “Request” option, and an email is automatically generated and sent to the counselor requesting approval. Upon counselor approval, the course is placed in the student’s recommended Course list and the student may proceed with registration.

    TRANSPORTATION

    Each course selected in the registration process will indicate whether transportation is available and include the associated cost. Students will be prompted to select the transportation option as appropriate at checkout. 

    For students selecting bus transportation, bus stop and time information will be provided to students prior to the first day of their summer school session. It is the responsibility of the students to meet the bus at a predetermined location and time (i.e. sender or elementary schools) which will then transport them to their designated summer school site. Transportation is only provided to the student’s designated summer school site.
